World Development Indicators

World Development Indicators is the primary World Bank collection of development indicators. It presents global development data, and includes national, regional and global estimates.

The database includes data spanning up to 56 years—from 1960 to 2016. World view frames global trends with indicators on population, population density, urbanization, GNI, and GDP. The Sustainable Development Goals are now presented in the companion publication, Atlas of Sustainable Development Goals.

The six themes of World Development Indicators are: Poverty and shared prosperity, People, Environment, Economy, States and markets and Global links.
